Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra showcase the sounds of the saxophone in Sax and the City! Witness a searing program with four fantastic pieces is performed under the baton of conductor Lidiya Yankovskaya, with the excellent saxophonist and University of Michigan professor Timothy McAllister as soloist.

Featuring Leonard Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Aaron Copland's Quiet City and Triathlon by John Corigliani (as premiered by soloist McAllister with the San Francisco Symphony in 2022), as well as a world premiere of Marina Lopez' new work, commissioned by the League of American Orchestras.
